Zha Jin Hua: Hand Rankings, Blind Bets and Comparisons
Learn Zha Jin Hua hand rankings, the cost of looking at your cards, and the special A-2-3 and off-suit 2-3-5 rules used on BluffKing.
Zha Jin Hua gives each player three cards, with no shared poker board. Decide whether to keep betting without looking, inspect your cards, or pay to compare with an opponent. BluffKing supports 2–10 players using a separate balance of practice chips that cannot be purchased or redeemed.
Read the three-card hand rankings
| Strongest first | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Leopard | A♠ A♥ A♦ | Three of a kind |
| Straight flush | 5♥ 6♥ 7♥ | Consecutive cards in one suit |
| Flush | 2♣ 8♣ J♣ | One suit, not consecutive |
| Straight | 9♠ 10♥ J♦ | Consecutive cards, not all one suit |
| Pair | 8♠ 8♥ K♦ | Two matching ranks |
| High card | 3♦ 9♣ K♠ | None of the categories above |
Here, A-2-3 is the lowest straight and A-K-Q the highest. Suits do not break ties. Off-suit 2-3-5 beats a Leopard in a head-to-head comparison but loses to every other hand category. It is not a universally strong hand.
Looking changes the price
Everyone posts an ante. A player betting blind pays one unit of the current stake; after looking, that player pays two. Raising increases the stake. If the unit is 10: a blind call costs 10 and a seen-card call costs 20. Looking gives you information but also changes the cost of continuing.
When can you compare?
From the second round, pay one call to compare with a chosen opponent. The weaker hand leaves; a tie eliminates the challenger. After three full rounds, remaining players reach a forced showdown. Beating one opponent in a comparison does not establish that you beat everyone still at the table.
Hand example: 2♣ 8♣ J♣ is a flush. Even though its highest card is only a jack, it beats an off-suit 9-10-J straight. Compare categories before comparing individual card ranks.
Make your first session easier to follow
- Check whether you have looked before reading the call price.
- Check the current round and whether your intended comparison opponent is still playing.
- Remember the 2-3-5 exception and the challenger-loses-ties rule. Other regional versions may differ.
- When reviewing a record, identify the round in which you changed your decision rather than remembering only the result.
What BluffKing provides
Table chat and hand records give you a way to discuss the same hand. Separate practice chips involve no top-ups or cash redemption. The server shuffles randomly, without membership tier as an input to dealing. This game does not currently provide per-hand cryptographic verification records: poker’s post-hand verification does not extend to Zha Jin Hua.
