Bull (Niuniu): Counting a Bull, Hand Rankings and the Banker
Learn to find three cards that make ten and rank the rest, then read Niuniu hand rankings, banker selection and how multipliers settle each bet.
Bull (Niuniu) deals five cards to each player, and one question drives every hand: can three of your cards add up to a multiple of ten? If they can, you have a bull, and the other two cards set its rank. If not, you have No Bull. BluffKing’s Niuniu seats 2–6 players in friend rooms or against computer seats, using a separate balance of practice chips.
Learn to count a bull
The deck has no jokers. Aces count 1, J, Q and K count 10, and other cards use their face value. Pick any three cards that total a multiple of ten to form a bull. Add the remaining two cards and keep the last digit: that is the bull’s rank, and zero is Bull Bull.
| Hand | How it counts | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 7♠ 3♥ K♦ 5♣ 2♠ | 7+3+K = 20, leaving 5+2 = 7 | Bull 7 |
| Q♠ J♥ K♦ 4♣ 6♠ | Q+J+K = 30, leaving 4+6 = 10 | Bull Bull |
| A♠ 2♥ 4♦ 8♣ 9♠ | No three cards total a multiple of ten | No Bull |
Some hands can be split more than one way. The game evaluates the hand by the rules; you only need to read the result.
Hand rankings, strongest first
Five Small > Five face cards > Four of a kind > Bull Bull > Bull 9 to Bull 1 > No Bull. Five Small means every card is below 5 and the total is at most 10, such as A A 2 3 3. Five face cards means all five are J, Q or K. Four of a kind is four matching ranks, and two of them compare the rank of the four. Other ties within a category compare the highest card from K down to A; equal ranks compare by suit: spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds.
The banker and betting
- In the first hand everyone may volunteer for banker free; multiple volunteers are chosen at random. Later, the strongest player with a qualifying hand takes over; otherwise the banker stays.
- Other players bet first. You see your five cards only after all bets are placed, and every hand is shown once everyone reveals.
- Each player compares only with the banker. Transfer = the player’s actual bet × the winning hand’s multiplier. No Bull and Bull 1–7 pay 1×; higher hands use the room’s settings. Multipliers never change hand rankings.
- Each phase lasts 15 seconds. Timeouts pass on banker, bet the minimum and reveal automatically.
Tips for your first hands
- Play a few hands against the computer just to practise finding the three cards that make ten, then open a friend room.
- Check the room’s multipliers before you start; they set how much a hand can win or lose.
- Settlement is zero-sum with no rake: what the banker wins, players lose, and the reverse.
